A 300
m2 facility for 24 preschool children and 8
toddlers. It was our intent, within the design of this
centre, to reflect the richness and diversity of the
Algonquin First Nation culture. The Algonquin are
master canoe builders, the curved roofs symbolically
reflect this craft. The wood envelope and pine pole
structure also reflect their strong affinity for wood
products and crafts.
